King Arthur Pendragon
The much-admired King of Britain
The son of Uther Pendragon and the Lady Ygraine, Arthur was given to Merlin as part of a prior arrangement and raised by the knight Sir Hector and his wife Osyth. Believing himself a commoner, he lived a simple, pleasant life of games, chores and training up until the day he accidentally revealed himself as king. When he took the fabled sword Excalibur from the stone, it marked him as the destined ruler of Britain. The sword was not yet at full power however, and Arthur had to prove himself as the ruler before the Lady of the Lake gave him the scabbard which unlocked its' true power.
A noble and kind-headed man, Arthur emanates regality in every move he makes. Though married to Queen Guinevere, his heart belongs to Sir Lancelot. His greatest sorrow is that he must live a life of deception.
With a strong sense of morals and a protective nature, Arthur does what's best for his people at all times that it's possible to do so. His closest ties are to his foster brother, Merlin and Lancelot, but he holds strong bonds with many of his loyal knights and castle residents. He lives a life that while not frugal is far from ostentatious, having simpler tastes and being unwilling to make his people suffer for his own sake.
